About DHCC

Established in 1975, Dietetics in Health Care Communities (DHCC), formerly CD-HCF, represents nearly 5,000 members of the American Dietetic Association working in wide-ranging areas of the health care arena.

DHCC members serve clients and provide leadership in practice in a wide variety of settings including:

  • Assisted living centers

Corrections Subunit Mission

The Corrections sub-unit is the advocate for dietetics professionals working in the field of corrections by supporting dietetics professionals through current information, trends, regulations, research, tools and networking opportunities.

HomeCare Subunit Mission

The Home Care subunit is an advocacy and resource group for the ADA members who provide medical nutrition therapy to the home based patient. The mission of this practice -focused group is to promote the role of medical nutrition therapy in alternative site medicine and expand the public image of the nutritionist as the expert for home based nutrition care.
